From our series entitled, "The Biblical Account of Creation: Does It Square With Scientific Evidence Today?", This clip answers the question:Does a six long day creation account contradict the Bible itself when the Bible says that death entered the world?
When did Lucifer's fall happen in relation to creation? It seems like Lucifer was already here on earth when Genesis happened. What if there was a creation that Satan corrupted or perhaps was trampled and desecrated in the war against heaven. The bible uses verses like "You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon I will ascend to the tops of the clouds" was he on earth before Gen.?

The men in the video are giving the Catholic view of Genesis and Romans--a metaphorical interpretation, which is consistent with evolution (which the pope openly embraces)--not the Reformation.
In Calvinism, we hold to Scripture alone. We don't construct our theology from Scripture and modern science--but from Scripture alone! Ankerberg has a history of attacking Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide (he pushes lordships salvation), and the King James Bible (he likes the modern Catholic versions).

It is perfectly valid to interpret the Genesis account as calling for long periods of time as opposed to 24-hour calendar days. It is also consistent with the record of nature. Because God is the creator of the universe, the record of nature and the record of Scripture must be in agreement.

While there are some exceptions historically, the fact is that most Christian scholars considered that the Genesis narrative taught a 6 day creation. It is amusing to see Ankerberg act like "young earthers" are the bizarre fringe, when historically that is simply not the case; also, Ankerberg himself until very recently was a young earther....

Some people look at the world and interpret the bible and some look at the bible to interpret the world. The error is in the former.
Your right uziel187, God is the God of the living, AMEN

God is a God of the living...Amen? So why would he want to see death during his creation? Wasn't it perfect? He told us it was the curse, thus destroying the perfection. I bet, he believes lions ate lambs in the beginning. If the Lord called each day perfect, it was perfect. The Holy Spirit grieves for us
