The 2nd Annual AAA All-Star Game was held at Cooper Stadium in Columbus Ohio in July 1989. The Master of Ceremonies was Mel Allen, the great announcer of the New York Yankees. The first AAA All-Star game was held in Buffalo NY. Among the participantst was Jay Bell, Sandy Alomar, Hal Morris and Tom O'Malley.

Sandy Alomar probably had the best career of all participants, but plenty of guys that went on to have good MLB careers in the 90's, and a few other what might have been prospects (Kevin Maas).
