This is Lane Hardin on a Bluebird 78 from 1935. I have it posted on my channel as well as both of the recordings he did as Arkansas Johnny Todd. Hardin was from Arkansas. Hill was from McComb, Mississippi. Hill made all of his recordings for Paramount and none of them sound as clean as this.
uuuhm think about this. The rythmetic and explaination in KSH and Lanes music... is the SAME! and i dont mean...damn thats close.. i mean the same! He's way of pitching, playing, downbreaking... the locations he sings about, his experiences. Where i wanna go..is the same! Maybe only in a newer better studio.. my thougt, and believe me i know my delta's! Could these two guys....be Solomon all on his own? Really listen and think! If it is not the case Lane MUST be the first EVER die hard copy cat
Sorry, this not King Solomon Hill, but it is Lane Hardin who is probably even more mysterious than KSH if that is even possible. As far as I know he had only one single....this backed with Hard Time Blues.
No slide on this - just bent stings!
