Do the same test with a light globe - NOT AN 'UNLOADED MOTOR' .. I'll bet the power consumption is identical. Perhaps load the motor a bit to put the motor/windings OUT of phase syncronisation... OR ...... What happens when I add in aditional motors - like a new aircon - Do I need to have my 'capacitance' readjusted ?? Almost ALL INDUCTIVE industrial equipment & most fluroescent lamps already have power factor correction capacitors fitted.. I smell something fishy.
