This is how you tie a bowtie. The trick is to twist and tweak until finished. Bow ties look best when slightly imperfect. Too much symmetry is unnatural. You want people to see that its not pre-tied.
The video is to be viewed as if you were looking in a mirror.

Someone said to me: step away from the mirror and pretend you're tying your shoe lace. It works!

This is still looking at someone else tying a bow tie. How come nobody ever teach tying the bow tie in the tier's view—my view when I am looking at the mirror? My father taught me by standing behind me, in front of a mirror and did it so I can see how it's done in the "user's view". Please do it again.

It's my grandfathers bow tie from the late 40's. It's made of Egyptian cotton, and I have to spray starch on it everytime I use it to stiffen it up. Really cool tie but almost impossible to find. An antique shop maybe? Or tailor made.
