Merry Christmas YouTubers! Discovered this morning that the cardboard Voco's actually play pretty well on my 60s Magnavox. You can actually understand the lyrics! So glad I can share this treasure. Play a Record Today!
This is amazing!! One Christmas (around 1953, I think) I actually received a small record player and several of these cardboard records, including the one played here! Thanks for the memory!
Truly wonderful! The envelope is really attractive and the artwork on the record is just so magical! I love the tune too and it doesn't sound bad on your Magnavox! Merry Christmas!
Lovely song! It reminds me of a short film you may have seen Raymond. Its called Santa Claus with Punch and Judy by Castle Films from the 1940s. It is hilarious. I love how the cardboard disc sounds so smooth. The ones I have heard were rather noisy and skipped a few times.
The music is so clear, its almost as if they had a problem with the microphones for recording the vocals. Anyway, they are such great treasures, the graphics on those voco records are spectacular. Thank you for sharing !
