Ford XR6

My brother's new (Jan 07) XR6. Turn up the sound and watch to the end!!!!The first part lets you hear its whine, then you can see the gear stick shaking and last, but not least, the terrible clunking noise that my son says sounds like a steam train!!!!

No idea. Ford rang pretty much the day after I posted this up here and gave him a new car. They put this one in their second hand lot, so some poor bugger bought it and would have paid to have it fixed!!!!

No worries. Even tho it's been replaced, the fight we had to go through was unbelievable and still get my back up!!!! I can't believe that you can spend that much on a car and be ignored the very next day!!!

you got rorted, deal with it!!!!! My missus new xr6 in 04, diff noise- took to 6 dealerships= cant hear noise. Got my mechanic to write report. took to next dealership with report,- had car two days, noise gone -never heard again 10,000k's later!

Do your homework, find out comman faults, rectify if can- if not get independent report- and front dealer!!!!!

It's BEEN dealt with!!! Got a new car. Lucky for you, you have more than one dealer around hey. Try being in a small town.

Unfortunately in today's society it has become acceptable for everyone to try to sidestep their responsibility. When that happens the disadvantaged person needs to stand up for himself.

No one else is going to do it for him.

In a case such as a warranty claim provided the customer has fulfilled his responsibilities under the warranty, he should maintain pressure until the provider plays ball. In the end they are required to honour the warranty.
