A stethoscope can only hear the valve doors of the heart open and close. A doppler can also hear the flexing of the muscle tissue and the flow of blood. Thus, a doppler gives you much more heartbeat to listen to!!

The purpose of the visit was to listen to the fetal heartbeat. The fetus was inside Micah's mom. He wanted a turn.

@loirabonita Every midwife visit, after his mom had her belly measured and we listened to the fetal heartbeat, Micah liked to have his turn.
