1996
- Islamic people have suffered aggression, inequity, and injustice by
the Zionists and their collaborators (Americans).
- Examples are the Israeli strike of a UN compound in Lebanon that
killed 100, spilled blood or massacres that occurred in Palestine,
Iraq, Tajikistan, Burma, the Phillipines, and other countries
- the greatest outrage is the presence of tens of thousands US troops
stationed in Saudi Arabia
- the arrest of Saudi scholars by the U.S.
- the presence of the US in the gulf region threatens the oil reserves
- loss of Jeruselam in 1967 to Israel
- the deaths of 600,000 Iraqi children due to a lack of food and
medicine due to US and UN sanctions
- bin Laden calls for Muslims to boycott American products and to fight
the Americans with bullets

1997 (aired May 10, 1997 on CNN)
- declared war on the US due to foreign policies, particularly the
seemingly permanent presence of US troops in the holy land of Saudi
Arabia
- sanctions placed against Iraq, US support for Israel, the US backing
of Egypt in Saudi Arabia - regimes he doesn't consider sufficiently
Islamic.
- Madonna, drugs, Hollywood, sex - such cultural issues are NOT a
concern
- a defensive war - fighting against a series of humiliations since WW1
when the Ottoman Empire was carved up by the British and the French.
Muslims are still being humiliated whether it be Kashmir, Palestine, or
Iraq
- delivered a quite negative assessment of Saddam Hussein
