This art is starting to become rare, even in China. This is a childrens game where you spin a wheel and get whatever pops up on wheel. Instead of spinning, I chose the one I thought would be most interesting to make. The process is very interesting to watch. The people of china are very talented. Lo fi video in a public park in Baoji, China.

  • Is this marble, or dry ice?

  • @armedbandit it is actually nothing more than a non stick surface. She is peeling it off with the tool, reheating and then drawing with it again allowing it to cool. when finished she carefully gets it off the platform using the tool.

  • this brings back memories. I used to have those when i was in pre-school. Now I am done with college. The candy tastes nothing special, but the way the guy makes it is mesmerizing.

  • @tree7gate It is. I'm sad to see this disappearing. Something within me makes my heart extremely traditional. When I see an art like this going away, I have to post it and share. I'm sure somewhere I also have the dolls they make out of a playdoh like substance... I should find that and post it too.

  • Wow, amazing.. So, what type of candy is it ?

  • @plantiumme I think it's like a melted sugar or rock candy. It's not the sweetest but it's an experience.

  • even at the year it was uploaded(3 years ago) it was alredy rare and disappearing very quicky, imagine this year, how many videos of these things will be uploaded? probably 1 or none

  • I remember buying one when I went to China last summer. It was in this old-fashioned shopping strip in Fuzhou where this guy made them really fast and beautifully. I don't really like the candy's taste, however. I wish someone would experiment with the taste of it.

  • @armedbandit its sugar.

  • I want it

  • Trés bien!
