The United States and Russia currently have a testy relationship over a number of issues, including NATO expansion, the US proposal to deploy a missile defense system in central Europe, and the Russian attack on Georgia earlier this year. President-elect Barack Obama will have to deal with these issues dividing Washington and Moscow when he assumes the presidency in just a few weeks. As VOA's Moscow correspondent Peter Fedynsky reports, Russia has taken a defiant stance toward Washington but also appears eager for an early meeting with Mr. Obama.
