We've moved our grand four times. Expensive, but totally worth it. (There's NO WAY I'd have a 25k instrument moved any other way!) Now, I'm just trying to convince Vern that we need to lease it out, instead of having it live in {shudder}theSHOP/entry{shudder
} under the carriage house . . . he's not convinced yet, but he doesn't know how serious I am about it. -
That is a lot of blankets. If I ever move and cant find a place on the ground floor than I will sell my piano.

Looks like these guys had one hell of a time but they got the job done. I have been in the moving trade a long time and this is not an easy thing to do. DID YOU EVEN TIP THEM FOR BREAKING THEIR BACKS OR WAS IT JUST THE TYPICAL THANKS. So many people want the hardest thing moved to the most unbelievable places and don't even tip when a job is well done. But when a waitress servers you a dinner out comes the tip

So, I guess you have to weigh half as much as the piano you're moving?
Carmina Barana by Orff. It's from an opera.
