The Cross is the True Church, Not the church of later day Saints. Our Sins and Faith assemble on the Cross. Just to comment on one of the points "The true church must bear the name of Jesus." Jesus was put on the Cross, the Cross bears the name of Jesus. As believers we are baptised with the blood not water. The Cross is the TRUE CHURCH.

Restored church? Matt. 16:18, 28:18-20, and Eph. 3:21 disagree with the Acts 3 LDS interpretation. Baptism for the dead? verses 12-32 shows the context of the passage. Early church never practiced BFTD. Matthew 7...too much to get into for this post...

Well, assuming all these points are true...the LDS still fails this test. Aren't the prophets paid a "modest living wage"? Eph. 5:23 says Christ is the Head of the church...nothing about the name of it. Foundation...Christian church has always had that. Same organization? LDS got the order wrong and even added positions not even found in the Bible. Acts 10 shows Holy Spirit coming upon the people, no laying of hands. John 4:24 says God is Spirit. Return to the son of mans words and the Laws of the commandments and redeem yourself and walk upright in that which is Holy.

Matthew and John are the words of Christ himself concerning his teachings of the church, if you want to know Christ will try listening to him instead of those that come in his name. For Christ warned all not to follow in men that came in his name ans spoke of where the Antichrist would appear, in the desert, To be specific at the crossroads to Damascus.

This is simple, sin is transgression of the Law, so by default the laws of Yahweh / his way or commandments are the reverse of sin & are means in which we justify what is or is not Holy. Which Laws, James speaks we shall not falter in any law or we break all, so any laws that break others by enforcing them are unlawful.

To know what is the true church is one must first determine of what being holy is first. To do this you must determine what is unholy. To learn what is unholy you must find out what is the definition of Sin.

@megaead69 First, the oldest Church is the Church founded by Christ Himself at Pentacost in AD33, this the Orthodox Church. Second,the Orthodox have not deviated from the traditions or dogmas of the early Church. Vatican I & II decisions changed certain dogmas foreign to the early Church. Papal infallibility is unfounded,and nowhere in scriptures does it mention that Peter was bishop of Rome. Other innovations ,the filioque, purgatory, immaculate conception,the use of leavened bread and no wine.

This seems blasphemous! Why is there a puppet holding the bible? Why cant this person use a somebody real to try to convince us that his church is the true church? Why must this church rely solely on their so called "latter" day saints instead of the early Saints in church history, the martyrs, the apostles, or those who lived closer to the time and life of our Lord Jesus? Oh yeah, because they all defended the One true Faith which was established by Christ ,not Joseph Smith, 2000 yrs ago.
