1990 240sx KA24E, street tires, PTF class.
Lessons to be learned with this project car: Preparation is 80% of racing. I started this project to show that you can build a race car for little cost (under $4.2K in this case). The problem is most likely the car will not be competitive. The engine has 175K on it and it shows (no leaks just low power, low compression). No weight reduction was done to this car (its almost 3000lbs with me in it). Running street tires while everyone else is using R compounds (R-tires would have bumped the car into a higher class and exhausted the budget). With that said, although I cant keep up with the cars in this video- it doesn't matter because I'm the only one in my class- this means I win anyways! LOL!
So in short: Slow car+ slow driver= a lesson in slow.
