LEAVING YOUTUBE if i can't get this fixed

Hey guys. This is a seriously problem i'm having.
Whenever I open a file of SV it always takes forever making 'audio proxy's for my clips, it has never done this before a month or so ago. and most of the time it fails to make an audio proxy and i have to audio shapes on my clips :( Anyone know what's wrong?
I was going to reinstall Vegas 10 but i can't find a download for the 10 trial anymore so I've got 11 now (from unsavory ways, ahem) and IT'S DOING THE SAME THING!

I never had this problem before! I googled the problem and people were saying vegas makes the proxys for wmvs because it's not a supported file or something, but ALL OF MY CLIPS ARE IN WMV. there is no way i'm going to convert EVERYTHING to avi. NO WAY. If this problem isn't solved i guess I can go back to Vegas 8 but most of my files are in th e10 format and won't open in 8 ;___;

It's really discouraging wanting to work on a project but it take FOREVER to try and make 42 or something proxys and most of time it fails anyways, and then i have no audio peaks and stuff.

Really, if I can't solve this problem I might have to stop vidding. And I really don't want to do that. Help me out. Please :(

Also when i close the program alot of the time It says vegas has stopped working (and doesn't specify why) but that's not a big deal since it's after i close it...

I have same problem too you(0o0Vanilla0o0) say that you must delete sfk-s so i want to ask you what is actually sfk? so i can see better ,are you true.

I was having audio importing and loading issues a few months back, after my computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything. I'll send you a message with how I fixed it.

i had this problem the only way i could fix it was to get rid of everrryything on my computer by resetting it

The audio proxy happens because there's an audio part that is not wholly compatible with SV....I had once problems with these proxys... what I did was delete the corrisponding .sfk files of the various clips I had used in my SV project ( The sfk's are in the same folder where your clips are). In this way SV will try to reproduce again, lukily without mistakes, the audio part. It's like resetting, but it won't change anything of your project. It will only create a new sfk file.Hope it helps you!
