I remember Cedar Point got record crowds that summer. I was nine years old then - sure, but I remember the park being insanely crowded that Summer and Fall. Millennium Force easily got three to four hour waits each visit that year when I was there.
It still gets one to two hour waits - but in the end it's all worth it. I've been on Millennium over a dozen times - IT NEVER GETS OLD!!
@ cedar point the tallest rides will close at even a light rain due to fear of lightning. Soooo, i must disagree when people say when it rains, you have the best chance of riding it. When it is CLOUDY is when you will have the best chance of riding b/c no one will be
@knexbox360 It shouldn't be too bad. A lot of it will depend on the weather and time of day. If the weather is bad, lines will be short. The lines are also shorter late in the day. If it rains in the early evening then clears up, you'll be able to walk onto many rides, providing your bus hasn't left yet!
@CoasterBob62 i know. ive been there twice in august and waited 1 hr or more for millennium, dragster, and 2 hrs or more for maverick. are they worse than that the third saturday (2nd week open) in may, i want to know because im going for a school trip
@ferretboy1187 Nice! They were letting us walk off the train and directly into the station to ride again and again. I agree, weekdays are the best, especially in May & June.

@knexbox360 Except for opening day, they're not too bad, at least compared with July & August. Weekdays and Sundays are best.
