One of the more well known older zeibekiko tunes among Greeks is the Aptal Havasi, usually called Aptaliko nowadays. The Turkish equivalent is Karsi Yaka Suk Suyu or Kordon Zeybegi

  • Whether primarily Turkish or Greek, it seems to me that it is a purely instrumental composition. Sung versions must be later adaptations.

What do the turkish titles mean?

  • @elrondzz evet aptal abdal havası

  • not aptal, abdal havası

  • A shining light of wisdom for those interested in the modern roots of Greek music!
