If You Only Knew... {A Jonas Brothers Story} Chapter 95: Mystifying

[Nick's P.O.V.]
After she pulled away, I wiped my mouth off several times.
"Ugh! Never do that again!" I shouted at her.
"Ew..." I continued. She scoffed and walked off. I sat down at the table.
"Nick, you moron!" Matiana. Yelling at me? What a shock. Oh, did you note the sarcasm?
"What did I do? She kissed me! You saw! My hands were full, otherwise I would not have kissed her!" I shuttered and wiped my lips off a tenth time. Or eleventh, I forget.
"Yeah, yeah. Same excuses, every time. It was she kissed me, or the booth was small or I didn't know. Blah, blah, blah," Grace said. That was actually something I expected from Matty so this was a shock. But then again, not really.
"Where did she go?" I asked no one in particular.
"Outside, probably trying to avoid you," Matiana said.
"Thanks," I muttered.
"Just go!" they shouted at me.
"Okay, okay," I replied. I left my lunch at the table and walked outside to the school garden. I saw her. She was looking at the roses with a single tear on her face. It was a puzzling scene. Very beautiful but saddening. I heard music:
"You've got a face for a smile, you know."
She looked up at me and our eyes met for a second.
"Hi, Nick." I couldn't place it. Was that nonchalance or sadness?
"Hi..."
"You know... your eyes are always so mystifying. It's nice. That your emotions can't be foretold from your eyes. Unlike me of course," she said.
"I know you're upset. I know that it's really going to sound bad but I didn't kiss her. She kissed me. My hands were full," I said lamely.
"I believe you. That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt," she said calmly, gently. How can she be so considerate of my feelings when I just hurt hers? Honestly I wouldn't react the same way.
*FLASHBACK*
Nick...its not what it looks like. she stammered. How could she do this to me? Seriously? And with Joe? Honestly, I am MORE than hurt.
No. Save it. It is exactly what it looks like. I said. I turned to Joe:
You want her? You can have her. Because I am done with her and this relationship.
I saw her start crying and she was about to say something but I cut her off.
What were you doing? Pretending? Using me to get to Joe? I need an answer because right now none of this is making sense. I said.
I was NOT pretending! I do love you and I meant it every time I said that I loved you. she said.
Yeah, Im really feeling the love. I replied sarcastically. I was about to go but I paused.
I want it back. I spat at her.
What? she asked.
My dog tag. I want it back. I replied. She took it off and put in the center of my palm.
Thanks. I muttered
In case you havent figured it out; we are over, I said, walking out of her house.
*END FLASHBACK*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------­------------------------------------------------------------Wow. Reading the flashback. It stings a little... jk, jk. The next chapter, Nick has a revalation/ an internal turning point. That's important to the rest of his life. Well I wrote it so that it happens next chapter but it might get pushed up to Cha[ter 97. I am going to try to end it by Chapter 100 but I just don't think it'll happen os yet again, I'm extending this season. Is it getting boring for you guys? If I can have three comments by the time I come back, tomorrow (Relax, I'm not going to be gone for a whole day like how I was on the 17th to the 18th. Even though I came back early :S) I MIGHT post the LONG AWAITED marathon. :)
