Extended Clip - The Day the Earth Stood Still

In the film, a renowned scientist (Jennifer Connelly) finds herself face to face with an alien called Klaatu (Keanu Reeves), who has traveled across the universe to warn of an impending global crisis. She quickly discovers the deadly ramifications of Klaatu's claim that he is "a friend to the Earth." Now she must find a way to convince the entity who was sent to destroy us that mankind is worth saving - but it may be too late.

@MrFudgepump lol you are just in denial, you can't argue why the alien would want to do terraforming when that is not their goal, it the same as why human create reserve for animal instead of just sticking them in Zoo, no doubt we could just build Zoo and fuck the reserve; being able to build Zoo doesn't mean sticking all the animal in them is an option.

@MrFudgepump because it won't do shit. they want to save the the animal, even if you can terraform other planet to be conditioned like earth there is no assurance that all animal would be able to survive those condition, you cannot change the atmosphere to completely earth-like because there isn't enough gravity to keep it in, human can adapt with technology, not ecology. and they are not here to create a Zoo which they have to sustain with technology but to allow natural development of species.
