Dorm Crew

Dorm Crew is the team of Harvard students who clean bathrooms and dorm rooms for other students as part-time work.

The organization maintains a lukewarm reputation among the greater undergraduate community at Harvard. Many students arrive at Harvard expecting their toilets to be cleaned for them not by their peers but by an outsourced cleaning service provider.

Dorm Crew claims that it is the largest student-run fee-for-service organization in the world. Students of greater experience within Dorm Crew may be promoted to captains, who train and allocate work to new workers.

On February 6, 2010, I recorded as two captains provided training for new workers in a Lowell House bathroom.
