@benjaste to be fair, i think theyre pretty equal. strats are amazing guitars, very versatile, and gibsons are great with the humbuckers etc, but i do think with a gibson you're paying for the name a lot more than the guitar.

Slash, Buckethead, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Tony Iommi etc. I didn't say there was anything wrong with Fenders, Gibsons are just generally more widely used.

David Gilmore (Pink Floyd), Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) all used Fender.....just to name a few.......????? IDIOT!!
