Demilich was a finnish Death Metal band formed in Kuopio,1990. They released their first demo "The Four Instructive Tales... Of Decomposition" in 1991. Their second demo "Regurgitation of Blood" was also released in 1991. Their third demo "...Somewhere Inside the Bowels of Endlessness..." was released in 1992 and has no covers, just a plain tape. The fourth and last demo "The Echo" was released in 1992 and distributed by Grinder Productions. The band received a record deal from Necropolis Records and the band recorded their legendary "Nespithe" in 1993. Nespithe means "The Spine" and Erecshyrinol means "No Lyrics Here". They can be decrypted by grouping the letters in three, starting at the end of the word, and reversing the order of those groups.
They claim that no effects were used on the vocals. The album was reissued through Repulse Records,Pavement Records,Sick Records (As a tape) and Century Media. The lyrical themes were quite cryptic and odd. All of the band's releases can be downloaded from their website. Their music is very technical and still manages to be very brutal. They played their last gig in Kuopio,Finland at "Henry's Pub" 2006-07-22 and the supporting band was Deathbound. They played the whole Nespithe album,a new song, two songs from the first demo and two unreleased tracks. There were no tickets but the age limit was 18.

This is from "...Somewhere Inside the Bowels of Endlessness...".

  • I love that Keyboard intro. Somehow reminds me of Star Trek or something shitty 80's sci-fi series theme song. The song is the best of Demilich's. The best riffs, the intro, solo, lyrics and the name.

Why always Disembowel, impale and grind. Death can be fun . . .You can use your imagination. Why not die by eating yourself in the room full of mysterious whispering eyes

Not only Antti Boman had the awesome vocalist and guitar playing skills, he had awesome imagination.

  • Insanely good...Demilich always makes my jaw drop every fucking time I listen to their songs.

  • Its different Opeth does high and low this band does low grows like gore that sounds like regurgitation hence some of the title track names. This band is definitely a league in their own. When I listen to this band its like I hear rush guitar vocals but metal vocals too and the singer sounds like he is extra terrestrial out of space predator style

  • @Benjajinj Hahahaha, slowpeth - making music boring is their mission!!!

  • shit rules

  • I've just found this song that I listened when I was teen, almost 20 years ago, f*ck!!!

  • @Benjajinj poor death vox? wtf! he made a more difficulted death vox, with gurgle growls n grunts, so difficulte, Opeth have a standart voice, with growls n sometimes deep growls...but no are sodifficulted I'm a death Metal singer...

  • This song has some of the sickest riffs ever written in death metal. That opening riff alone, jesus... if I ever wrote anything that good, I'd immediately have to put my guitar down and go rub one out before I wrote the rest of the song.

  • I think this kicks the shit out of the Full lenght version.
