I heard target weight to have a good vertical jump is about 2x your body weight when you squat. Is that true? and if so, is that for max?

@proteincheese yeah it's a max. 2x BW is a good goal, but it's not like you can't jump high til you get there. I've never been higher than 1.65 x BW and I peaked at 44 inches

@ilikata like it says in the video, variation is fine. use a stance that's comfortable and keeps your weight back and your torso above 45 degrees

@Mr360windmill flexibility is probably a big issue so start stretching a lot. also look up the glute bridge exercise and start doing that
