In this video, I go through the process step by step of changing the engine oil on a 2010 Yamaha Grizzly, processes are the same for a 700 Grizzly. I am not responsible for any issues that may have occurred from following these processes.

  • ya at first i thought it had two cylinders. i have grizzly 550 eps 2011. do you know how much oil goes in there?

  • @dfmodels1 it says on the tube 2300 cm3, which is 2.3L so about 2.5 quarts/liters depending on where you are from, pour 2 in, check, then add as necessary to bring it to full, start the engine, check for leaks, then shut it off and top off as necessary to bring it to full once again

  • grizzly 550 is twin cylinder ???

  • @dfmodels1 I thought it was but somebody corrected me, it has two pipes coming out of the head, that's what threw me off

  • Next time u change the oil filter pour oil in the new one to let it soak up n pass oil alot better than dry filter

  • @qapsukalek If the filter was vertical I would, but it just makes a mess otherwise, any career technician never puts oil in the filter even though I usually use my oil can and put some on the o ring and a few shots inside for good measure

  • i pour oil into my yamaha apex filter first right before i drain the oil from motor and oil tank and while draining i pour the oil out of the filter so there will be no mess at all
