The 4th song of the first debut solo Robert Plant's album called "Pictures at Eleven", written by Robert Plant and Robbie Blunt.
Personnel (as they appears to be in this song):
Robert Plant - vocals
Robbie Blunt - guitars
Jezz Woodroffe - keyboards & synthesizers
Cozy Powell - drums
Paul Martinez - bass

Lyrics:
Slow dancer - no answers
For you new moves to see
Fast talker in dark corners
For you new words to hear
Sly glances - half chances
For you the eye that sees

When the sun slips from the day and the coolness brings relief
There's no torment 'neath the stars in the stillness of the night
When the swirling has to cease behind the safety of the veil

In high places - darkened faces
So indifferent in days to be
Lost races - no losers
Only winners return to see
New order - can't be altered
When the eyes refuse to see
When the sun slips from the day
Soft spoken - never could be broken
Waiting the dawn light with me
Slow burning - school of learning
Don't hasten it down on me
Hearts leaping - hopes been reaching
To the heights, to the heights - these signs to see

Oh baby, in the darkness, in the darkness...

  • I wish plant used Cozy Powell (RIP) full time.

plant solo created some incredible music, but it would been at least 50% better.

  • @Rlgsps Truth is Cozy was one of the greatest drummers in the history of rock an' maybe metal music -or even the greatest, maybe- but back then he was just a guest appearance on Plant's album, playing with MSG at the same time back then -if I remember well- and the truth is that even though he left too early, he left a lot of great music and discography back, thankfully!!

  • @dxakis I saw Cozy play wth ELP,, never thought it would work in a million with his style so different from Carl Palmer.

    Wow was I wrong.

    Talk about less is more?

Yrs later and I still have that show my bones.

The guy just "laid it down" like nobody else..

    Sledgehammer arms..

  • @jr996tt Wow.. Sounds like an unforgotten experience, and I bet it was!!

You are very lucky dude, for seeing him on stage!!

  • @dxakis Was also lucky enough to have seen hm on stage, on tour with Whitesnake and also at donnington, and with MSG, he was peerless, nobody could touch him

  • @SuperKopstar Wow!! Whitesnake?? I really consider Plant and Coverdale two of the most talented musicians and great on stage performers, so, I can only wish to be as lucky as you were!!

  • @SuperKopstar it wasnt all his fault every 1 was off jimmy drunk and off tuned guitar roberts horse voice tony not in sync with phil if the guitar rythym is off it throws everyone off i used to play in a ban. Cozy is ok but hes not the greatest. Cozy admitted phil was really good better than him.Phil has drummed for the most famous people clapton mccartney , Harrison. played for phil baily. Cozy is old news i didnt hear bout him till 5 years ago im 45 yrs old i heard of rainbow .

  • @TheIggypop1 Now that is just stupid. Both Powell and Collins did their job well enough to be wanted by almost everyone on their sessions. I know that, you know that, everyone knows that.

  • wish today's music would sound like this.

  • In 82 I played this epic so much i was so stoned was convinced Page snuck in and Bonzo came bak to life for one last call GREAT TUNE

  • @johnny260100 Absofukinlutely i always pretended it was bak in 82

  • @joemama8539 Is this the same Phil Collins who managed to fuck up any possibnility of a Zep reunion after he blew his big chance at Live Aid? The same one who turned Genesis from a Musical tour de force in to a second rate pop act? The same one who left the band to pursue his own vanity (A failed solo project and a stinit in the movies? For all Cozy's (perceived) faults i'd take him over Collins any time, and who gives a shite how highly Rolling Stone Rated him?

  • @Rlgsps phil collins is so much better drummer

  • Cozy is one of THE BEST HARD ROCK DRUMMERS...

    R.I.P.

  • What an incredible song...My late mum played it nonstop about 20 years ago...I never got it

    NOW I DO!!
