This brief tutorial shows how to set up a drum rack to receive MIDI from Tattoo, so that you can use Tattoo's sophisticated grid sequencer and randomization on other sounds. You can also use this method to double or replace individual sounds from Tattoo, while still using the internal sounds. Note that this is only applicable to the VST version, as the AU version doesn't have MIDI out.

  • Yes. Aside from being a drum synth, it is an extremely powerful step sequencer, with loads of randomization features.

  • Interesting, so Tattoo will also be able to act as step sequencer for samples, with a little work. I like where this is going...So hurry up and release it already youse guys!
