Mark Lewisohn, the world's pre-eminent Beatles historian and author, speaks about the status of his long-awaited definitive biography of The Beatles exclusively with former "Lost Lennon Tapes" producer Stephen K. Peeples for Peeples Place and Peeples Place on KHTS in Santa Clarita, California. Lewisohn has done zero media interviews about the three-volume project since he signed a major book/multimedia deal in 2003 with publishers in the U.K., the U.S. and Japan, and will do no other interviews until Volume 1 of "The Beatles: The Complete Story" (working title) is released. When will that be? Play the clip, a world exclusive. Visit http://www.peeplesplace.com and see the Aug. 5, 2011 post of "Peeples Place at KHTS" for transcript.

  • hope he AND I live long enough to see the completion

  • Prezada Lizzie, a primeira vez que te vi foi no programa Flávio Cavalcanti (se não me engano) traduzindo "Yesterday", foi quando soube que vc participou dos vocais de "Across The Universe" do álbum "Past Masters". Parabéns.

Dear Lizzie, the first time I saw you was in the Flávio Cavalcanti's TV Show (if I remember correctly) you translated "Yesterday" in it; It was when I knew you took part on the vocals of "Across The Universe" which came out on the album "Past Masters" . Congratulations.

  • Dear Mark, I look forward to his new book, and I think that is a great opportunity to correct some misunderstandings. In the Ringo's words, written on page 96 of the book "Anthology", it is clear that the slow version of "Please Please Me" was recorded on September 4, 1962. On September 11, 1962 we have a second version, probably with Ringo on drums, as fast as the official (third version) recorded on November 26, 1962.

Thank you for the new book

  • Get the lead out Mark mate I've got me £4.99 ready (at 2003 prices).

  • It sound like its going to be like a Beatles Encyclopedia. Interesting.

  • Very much looking forward to these books which will certainly be amazing!

    Lizzie Bravo
