How to Enable Stereo Mix in Windows 7

In this Tutorial, I show you how to enable Stereo mix for your Windows 7 computer. Stereo mix allows you to record audio straight from your computer through programs such as Camstudio, Hyper Cam, and Fraps. It makes recording audio from PC games easy as pie.

Text Instructions:

Right click Speakers, and select recording devices. Right click in the white box, and check "Show Disabled Devices". Right click Stereo Mix and click "Enable". Press Ok, and you should be ready to go!

my pc wont allow me to enable it everytime i try to enable it it doesnt change please help me i dont have any sound on my computer now and where the sound sign is there is a big red mark whit a white cross in the middle please help!

installed the Realtek drivers with the Realtek sound card so now it is working, you were right, need the Realtek sound card and the right driver.

Do you have a Realtek sound card installed? If you don't, then you wont have it.

Before i reinstalled 7, i had stereo mix, even without the soundcard, after, i installed the driver and bla bla bla, not appearing, how gay is that?
