Fausto Romitelli, "An Index of Metals"

Video opera performed by Orkeistra Muzyki Nowej, Katowice conducted by Szymon Bywalec with Agata Zubel, soprano, Maciej Walczak, visualisations, and Jaroslaw Mamczarski, electronics. This is the part that was encored at the 17 May performance in the Wroclaw Philharmonic Hall. (Apologies for the shutter clicking--I didn't realize it would be so intrusive.)

A mio parere c'è un profondo parallelismo tra questa videoarte e l'opera lirica.Ambedue hanno bisogno di un esperienza culturale selettiva. Veramente "roba" autoreferenziale. Ma tant'è, se vi rende sereni produrre questa arte, meglio questo che altro :)

i like his sense of contrast. The lyrical voice against the electric guitar is a really strange "historical confrontation" effect. (Excuse my english, i'm just french !... )
