Tetris Attack - 99,999 in 6'18"

This is my best recorded run so far (actual record 5'46").
This video also shows some of the moves you have to know to ... well, look awesome. If you don't know about the moves, you'll think "wait, why did that count as a chain" a couple times - all the tricks are explained in the Book of Tetris (www.tetrisattack.net).
There are examples of combining usual chain constructs with "working the second row", and it's taken me a lot of time to get used to thinking like that.
The stats didn't make it in the video, so here they are:

Incredible, compared to my usual runs.

man this is sick.. what i need to know is that is there like an established pattern or something you're supposed to follow. i mean i know you need patience but dang. i just want to be really good., like you. :)

There are all the patterns you can think of - they are mostly modifications of things you have to memorise - don't worry, you'll learn it automatically. Keep chaining away, and it'll feel natural in the end! for great justice.

That's a great video! And you actually got 8 x13s in there. Couple more bonuses + if you didn't clear screen at end would have been loads better. Also had a few times where you got unlucky and lost chain. That's normal and always happens, just need that game where everything works out for you.

Good games are always characterized by 1) me screwing up badly in the end 2) not noticing 99999 in the end and clearing the screen, but yes, I am improving, trying to still keep my skill up in the middle of all the exams. (not that I need to complain about that anyway...)
