Ants Eskola: Date of Birth: 17. February 1908 Tallinn, Estland. Date of Death: 14. December 1989 Tallinn, Estland.

In 1920's and 1930's dancing to jazz rhythms was the vogue in Estland. However, in Estonian record production, the popular songs in waltz or polka rhythms were dominating. In the second half of the 1930's, public got used also to hit songs in fox-trot rhythms, mainly thanks to the sound movies.
