New Silver Metra Electric Passenger Train Ride, Part 4 of 6 : I was on the Flossmoor Zone train at 5:20 PM. Track 3 Southbound Water/Millennium/Randolph Station. This is an express train, in/to the Flossmoor Zone. I am also riding in the New Silver High Liner train cars.

  • On the older Metra Electric Passenger Cars the windows are clear and not tinted.

The newer Metra Electric Passenger Cars windows are tinted and a little harder to see out of.

  • The new Metra Electric passenger cars do have larger windows to see throw.

And the windows are tinted too.

  • The sounds you are hearing are the electric electronic accelerator motors.

The electric accelerator motors on the new passenger cars do make odd sounds.

On the older hi liner passenger cars it is a little harder to hear the accelerator motors running.

  • and on the older ones, the windows are clear

  • The seats in those new silver cars are beast comfortable, but what's with that annoying descending pitch when the train decelerates?

  • I love riding trains ... brings back good memories. :)
