David Fincher Where have you been? I've been waiting since SE7EN

Imagine re-masking these shots with todays tech.

They started production of ALIEN in 1978, no computer animation, just puppets, stop motion and tons of work. This movie was way ahead of it's time. The whole series is pure genius.

why didn't they put costume of aliens instaed

People are high, the effects are horrible. I'm 30, and back when i saw this for the first time, i thought it looked horrible. Alot of people at the time stated that about the movie.

damn.. those miniature sets are mind boggling

@Fahstudios13579 Because movies are about making money these days.. And building a puppet and hiring puppeteers is more expensive than paying an animator to make it on a computer.. sad ;(

Which is scarier;one alien running around or a group running around? :)
the puppet was actually brilliant. If they did that with today's composting techniques, it would be amazing looking.

The concept behind this method is brilliant, but I think the main issue was that it was executed rather crudely. They should have thought up of more solid blue screen compositing techniques. If we didn't see the reflection of the blue screen glistening on the alien, it would have looked wonderful.
