Music and color from New Mexico's annual Balloon Fiesta. This short video comes from the evening of 10/9/09 when the "Balloon Glow" was scheduled. Today this event, which began in 1987, is called The Glodeo (pronounced like "rodeo"). This is when all pilots light their burners to illuminate the balloons from inside. It began as a way of saying thanks to the community.
Wind in New Mexico can get interesting and it did on this night too, but not before many of the 'special shape' and other balloons were inflated.
Richard Shulman's music (www.RichHeartMusic.com) adds the perfect accompaniment to these pictures created by Living Successfully, LLC (www.LivingSuccessfully.com).
Enjoy.
Many thanks. You know how it works with the "atta boy's" and yours is very much appreciated.
'all the best...

Thanks for the comment and c'mon down. I'm sure they'd find a spot for you at the Fiesta. This was my first and even seeing the little I did, it was spectacular.

Unfortunate that a breeze came thru. At least you got to see something :-). I can't wait to go back. Last time I was there was in 2000 when over 1000 pilots were registered. I am now part of a balloon crew for a company here (been 6 years now) and I would love to crew at Albuquerque.
Cheers, from Canada.
