The problem with this argument is the definition of good. What if the definition of good were to maximize our knowledge of God and thus maximize our love for Him resulting in the necessity of evil to manifest aspects of God that would otherwise not be known, namely, His grace, mercy, wrath, anger, justice, etc.?
