The WonderBorg was a beginner robotics kit released for the Japan-only WonderSwan in 2000. Users would assemble their own beetle-like robot and transmit programs to it over infra-red from a special WonderSwan cartridge.
A PC version was also available, and was picked up by Hasbro/Tiger for western release; this version included an infra-red transmitter and Windows Robot Works software which behaved in much the same way as the WonderSwan version shown here.
Both versions included a training mode to teach users how to program the WonderBorg by working with a virtual Borg facing various problems a real Borg may face, such as walls and uneven ground.
Shown here is the tenth training map and one (likely suboptimal) solution for navigating it. Shows both the programming step and the virtual WonderBorg carrying out its program.
