what did you run on the bottom of the hf pump

Outstanding. Thank you for taking the time to show the expertise you have and enabling others to attempt what may otherwise seem like an impossible task. I have always believed that storing water for emergency or times of crisis could become the more difficult of all tasks. Thank you very much for this video.

Nice job...I was wondering how I could do the same thing. thanks!

@PrepperCountry That all depends on the formation the water is coming from and how well the formations above that are at preventing surface water from getting down there. As a general rule for a potable water supply your well casing should probably not be any less than 25ft and some regulations actually require at least 25ft of well casing. The only way you'll know is to drill it, put in the casing and seal it with bentonite, then chlorinate the well, flush it and have a sample tested.

Great video. Don't forget some insulation. Don't want any pipes busting.
How about getting a cistern to store water and slowly fill it with the electric pump? And/or a small raised water tank to create some pressure indoors.

is water from a shallow well safe to drink...I was thinking about drilling my own shallow well out here on my property, but if it's not potable water then all I'll be able to use it for is the garden and watering the grass I guess...don't know if that's worth it to me right now...I've been told that you have to go down 100 feet here to get water, but if the shallow well is potable, then I'll give it a try and see if I can get water from a shallow well

Great information, especially about the foot valve. Using the toilet piece is so smart, and fits great too! Getting ready to dig our shallow well too, so this is going to help a lot. Thanks.

Just a quick note, those type of hand pumps or as a general rule any hand pump that has to be primed by pouring in water or has an open top is not a sanitary solution for drinking water. The water used for priming and the open top can introduce bacteria into the well. I am a licensed well driller and that would not be approved in my state. Hand pumps used for supplying drinking water should have a sealed top and self priming with pump cylinder below the static water level. BTW nice job on this.

@FUBARPROTOCOL I'm learning so much I need to do some research as well on basic plumbing and electric. I am minimal with the knowledge maybe 6 months as a maintenance engineer for a hotel so I'm not completely stupid. nice way to show your location the fema region. I changed all my profiles to my region!
Man you do some real good work. I have a quick question, is the water pressure really that dam intense throughout the house? or is it because of the location of the spout outside? and that water is well water so you're not paying for it right? It's relatively safe correct? sorry I had more than one question looks like. Great job, just subscribed .

@kalif151byccrew That was the pressure coming off the pump. I have city water in the house and it does not have that kind of pressure. I have a couple of other videos on my channel on testing and filtering the well water. thanks for the sub...........
