@AresRoar It's disgusting how they're proud they don't talk about jack shit on this show.

Philbin's a lot more serious than he lets on. Back in the '70's he hosted a local talk show in L.A. called "Philbin's People" which was very political. People like Jane Fonda and William F. Buckley were frequent guests, and the topics were always on social issues, not just your normal talk show gossip and chit chat.

@kornpone Amly Goodman herself consistently mentions that Democracy Now! appears on PBS stations, as it's a TV show as well as a radio show, and my friends from other states confirm. I get the show on FreeSpechTV. See Democracynowdotorg if you don't have a local source for the filmed version.

@christvbible I don't think it was in bad taste or an attack at all. Regis plugged her television show and radio show and pointed viewers to where they can catch it. I think they were being honest about their admission that their show is really about nothing.
Still though, who doesn't love cute puppies. :)

Wow, they had a real moment of clarity there.

When other TV networks attack people like Amy Goodman you know this means 'they' take her seriously. Its all done in bad taste but the flipside is that Amy gets free publicity which is an irony that evolves from the general insecurity felt by corporate loving media puppets who are losing viewers and gaining cabbages

Well done Regis.
Amy is one of the few real journalists left.

Seinfeld should sue...
This is the show about Nothing.
At least they admit it.

Nice that he would plug Democracy Now! but it's too bad he can't get his facts straight. Democracy Now! is on Pacifica Radio, not PBS. It looks like Regis barely knows what PBS is ("does PBS have radio too?") let alone that something called Pacifica Radio even exists.

hilarious
He plugged her name and the name of her show several times on his network TV show, which is watched by an audience of millions who would probably not hear of Amy otherwise. This isn't a political show - it's celebrities and cooking and cute puppies, but both hosts went out of their way to mention Amy Goodman and say that they'll be checking out her program. That's a win for everyone.

Nice for Regis to admit his entire show is about nothing just like 99% of the shows on TV!
