Say what you want about The King but that man kept the Mid South Coliseum in business for nearly 20 yrs and was a major headliner for that venue in the 70s and 80s and had his share of sellouts. Lawler may not be gifted in the ring like Flair but his promo skills are just as good as Flair's and I would put the king right up there with Flair as one of the greatest of all time.
what !!! yes jerry the king was good but flair was the best ever on the mic and putting so many people over. like him or not he stands alone at the top !!!
jerry lawler was good, but he couldn't carry the pubes left in ric flairs jock strap. the nature boy was great on the stick, sold better than he gave, was the best heel in the business - and the champ. top that. jerry never could.
I agree...the old ric flair was above par on all degrees.....lawler had a moment or two in memphis....too bad both are a sad shell of their former self...theyve lowered themselves to fighting over whos gonna blow VKM next...its sad to see what theyve become.
