Simcity 4 Island Drive

Enjoy the drive along the edges of a densely developed tropical island with several coves and atolls around it's perimeter.

I've always wanted to give a tour of this city, but it's old. After spending a long time rejuvenating the town and refurbishing it's road system, I give you the city of Cool Shallows, one of the few medium tile cities I play.

With only one road connection to the outside world, the road and highway system has been built to support local and tourist traffic and is not a long distance interconnecting link like my other cities. Please note that the Real Highway network did not exist when I first built this city and there was no room to build it. There are still imperfections with the road and cityscape but it looks a lot better than the bumpy abandoned mess it was in the past lol.

The video has been sped up 2x. Thanks to Epic Music Productions once again for the audio! I like the tropical-ish sounding theme!

What do do you use to record the the gameplay?

@EmotionalKing I use a program called Fraps. I then edit it in either Sony Vegas 10 or Windows Live Movie Maker depending on what I want done with the video.

i just dont get it how do you have soooo much traffic, i mean like i dont have any traffic on the highways and waterways!

@vuorte All traffic in this city is local (only 1 road connection out of city) so everyone is using the system to get from A to B and back. Good design and forward thinking will produce good routes. It takes a lot of trial and error so don't give up!
