Plastic Shores (www.plasticshoresfilm.com) is a non-profit educational film about the effects of plastic debris on our marine ecosystem produced by La Mode Verte. Due to be released in 2012, the feature aims to make people think about our use of disposable plastics and what happens to them after they have been thrown away. From the shores of Hawai'i to California, Cornwall to Grand Cayman, the film tracks plastic pollution across the Atlantic and Pacific and explains what effects this pollution has on the marine environment, as well as human health.

can't agree more. When is this movie being released? Are we are able to pick this up / buy it and show / arrange public showings in our communities?

about time someone tackled this... incredible thing to draw the worlds attention to - now we just need people (and hopefully the big companies) to get involved

Great Story! I hope it gets the worlds attention is deserves! Can't wait to see the Cayman Shoe Tree in the flim and so happy that we could contribute to waking people up when it comes to what the real beaches look like!!

Terrible and amazing, I can't wait for me to watch it. Sad to say, things got worse of the sudden with the debris patch being carried from Japan toward the centre of the Pacific after the 2011 eartquake-tsunami.
