In this song Om is in the movie theatre watching the new movie starring his beloved Shanti, who's sitting with the film crew as well watching her movie for the first time with her audience and fans. Om, while in his own fantasy, imagines himself going into the movie scenes and acting and singing with his beloved Shanti while sharing with her his feelings, till he finally gets overwhelmed forgetting he's in "real life" not in actually "in the movie" while the securty gaurds come and try to get him out. Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Bollywood musical film directed and choreographed by Farah Khan. It stars Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles as the protagonists while Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal, and Kirron Kher feature in supporting roles. Arjun Rampal is the antagonist in the movie. More than forty two well-known Bollywood stars appear in the course of the film, including thirty of them (not including the stars of the film) in one song alone.
