Badly filmed clips and pictures from February 2010's Fairtrade Fashion show in Bristol, UK. Apologies for Windows Movie Maker quality!

The agenda involved guest speakers such as Tara Starlet from BBC3s Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts and Isabel Antonio, a Fairtrade nut producer from Mozambique. They pushed the message that cheaper and faster fashion has increased poverty for farmers and it would have been excellent to have heard more from them.

The show featured ethical designers such as Wombat, Spunky, Lifes Not Fair But My Knickers Are, Bibico and lots more. What's very interesting is that whilst the show pushed the importance of buying Fairtrade fashion, most of the collections did nothing to change ethical fashions image of, as Hello Eco Living says, 'dowdy cotton garments'.

Which is why its fantastic that Emma Watson, a new face in fashion, has contributed to ethical fashion in such a way that will help fashionable teenagers become more aware of the damage 'cheap fashion' does. Her collection for People Tree was preppy and clean and certainly fresh against some of the other designs but I would have liked to have seen more garments from the collection as well as see it better styled on the models. I mean, black tights with the awesome blue striped dress and preppy blazer??

Overall a fun show with an important message!
