Copenhagen climate summit begins

The 2009 Climate Change summit is underway in Copenhagen with world leaders gathering to tackle global warming and produce a deal on ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Well I dont believe the world is heating up dangerously, especially now, when all this suppressed data on cooling is now out. However, what I do believe, is that we should be more careful on emissions and be more responsible with this planet. The fact is, politicians use it to tax us to the hilt. Copenhagen proved to me that they dont believe the world is in immediate danger either. If it was, economic factors would have been pushed aside, and drastic measures enforced.

Manmade global warming my ass. Washington DC has been almost shut down with the worse winter since the 1890s. The past few winters on the east coast of America has been the coldest on record. And with climate gate and teh FACT that the temps are getting cooler, why in the hell would any resonable country crash their economy to fix a hoax? Global warming is a state of the unlearned mind.

what a shame for the world. the cassandra-complex is just proofing itself all over again. the human species is so stupid. we poisen the planet we depend on, we kill the nature that feeds us and all what we do is wasting what gives us life. we do not deserve to life or to inhabit this planet. copenhagen is a mess, the rich countries are to blame for all this, so it´s us. the children of the future will curse us for what we have´nt done! shame on us all!

why can't these governments clean their own backyards by imposing new polution emission measures to their industries without taxing the end-users. these 'ETF' will make every1 pay more for basic services. the rich won't get affected but those poors will become poorer. My crystal ball see another revolution is coming .

Really a pity to see so many ignorant fools on this comment list. Climate change is not a myth or a hoax. Wake up and smell the CO2 people. And this is not about making money either. Sure this is gonna cost - it's gonna cost a lot, but is it not worth the cash to get our world in a better place? I choose to believe that these leaders can come to a fair and binding agreement that would make our amazing earth a better place for everyone - even the assholes who have no faith.

Acording to the News ,Copenhagen couldn't get enough limos for this event; there will be no biking,walking,or use of hybrid cars in getting therer;Leonardo Decaprio,daryl Hannah will be there along with other celebrities;anybody wanna make a bet with me on weather private planes are used?Conservation is for the "Little People',don't you know.
