@travb35 hadnt heard the one about paul/saul=josephus
whoever he was, he certainly coopted early judaic xtianity.
ambelain finds that the peter v. paul and the paul v. simon magus (in rome) confrontations are identical. he identifies paul as not a jew but an idumean arab.
related point, i firmly believe the the hubbub raised by the church re "the final temptation of christ" was not because of the jesus-magdalene hallucination (strawman), but because of the paul/jesus confrontation.

@castelgandalf It's interesting that you mention Paul/Saul created Jesus, Ralph Ellis identifies Paul/Saul as the jewish historian Flavius Josephus. It seems to me that Flavius Josephus was just a cover name for Arrius Calpurnius Piso who authored/created the new testament(christianity)along with his family(wealthy roman aristocrats)by plagiarising the jewish religion after seeing that it's increasing popularity was becoming a threat to their religious and political power!

@travb35 thanx. if you haven't read ambelain, may i be so bold as to recomment him. 3 books originally in french, i read them in spanish. roughly translated: 1)jesus christ or the mortal secrets of the templars 2)the man who created jesus christ (paul) and 3) secrets of golgotha. i don't know if they are available in english, but they agree with jesus' royal lineage on both mary and judas' sides. it also theorizes the real reason for his crucifixion, & identifies paul as siimon magus.

@castelgandalf Yes Ralph Ellis has written books that look into the real historical truth behind the biblical texts. One startling fact is that the old testament heroes in reality were not poor and obscure, but were wealthy powerful Pharaohs! Also he says that Jesus was in fact Royal and wealthy, not some poor wanderer!
The fact that his name in Egyptian is Esau, which means the son of Isis, and that it can be found in hieroglyphics should be enough right there to prove that it's just all more recycled bullshit.

@islandsylph If he did, whatever he said in Antiquities 18 was erased and replaced with blatant Christian propaganda. Have you ever read Antiquities 18.3.3??? "...if it be lawful to call him a man..." "He was the Christ." "He appeared to them the third day..." "...and the tribe of Christians are not extinct unto this day."
And did they live at the same time? Jesus would have been nailed up and impaled on the cross no later than 36 CE. Josephus' lifetime was 37-101 CE.
