When I import the model it comes up with some boxes to tick (Not the skip animation ones, I am taking about the onces after that) I tryed ticking the boxes that you have ticked, but they are in gray and won't let me tick them, how can I tick them (i think I need them because the model doesn't show otherwise)

This tutorial still works it is just a little out of date. (For 2012 Max)
I just got it to work with a bit of tinkering:
I installed the SMD Im. 2012 version, wunderboy[dot]org[for.slash]ap
ps[for.slash]smdimport[dot]php To find your models file DONT go to tf2content.gcf, go to tf2materials.gcf
In max to add the plugin go Customize -> Configure System Paths -> Third Party Plugins, and add your plugin in there. (restart 3ds max to get it to work.)

@BobDole2isback k thanks i'll take a look

you have to go into the tf2 materials game cache

Why can't I see the Models folder in the TF2 content when I open it with GCFscape?

i dont see the importer.

This is probably a really stupid question, but uhh.. How do you get the work space to look how you've made it look? Great tutorials, though, got through this without any trouble.
You should redo the tutorial for 2012 version.
