Newcastle sealed their place in the finals of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s Series with a 19-10 win over Worcester.

After a scrappy opening Luke Eves spotted a gap in the Worcester to defence to sneak through before offloading to Joel Hodgson for the opening score for Falcons, the fly-half converting for a 7-0 lead.

Luke Fielden then made it two, crossing in the corner as Falcons extended their lead to 12-0 at the break.

And the Falcons, runner- up last year, continued their dominance after the interval as an overlap in the right hand corner put back-row Mark Wilson through, Hodgson again adding the extras.

Sam Miller grabbed two late tries for Worcester in the corner but it wasn't enough as Warriors now need to win their final game against hosts Sale to join Falcons in the finals at the Stoop next Friday.

Hosts Sale claimed their first win of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s in magnificent fashion, Danny Bibby scoring a hattrick in a record 47-0 win over Leicester.
