@BBITV it's actually the hardness, not the density
-
@BBITV Except for the fact that porcelain (kaolinite) is not particularly dense. Nice try, tho. ;-)

@cjhatesu Yes, because you're going to carry a spark plug, a vice and a hammer if you're going to break into a car. Get caught with them then you're caught. However, take a small pebble shaped piece with you. Easier, and better to explain should you get caught.

Tip: You can break that motorcycle in peaces if you drop that car on it.

@BBITV Not density, hardness. The nut you threw is more dense than the glass.
Ive really tried to look into this lately and Ive dug up two main reasons why porcelain works so well: the hardness of the porcelain vs tempered glass, and the fact the porcelain used on sparkplugs causes electrons on the surface of the glass to move away from impact spot. The movement of electrons causes the surface tension of the glass to greatly decrease while the porcelain causes significant damage during impact

Thanks for tip... Time to go crazy on some cats!!!

@BBITV that is true but not all of it also becaise the sharp edges of the porcelain breaks one of the tiny fibers in the glass causing a chain reaction and breaks it

You need to break it so it has edges and corners, its not the density, its the hardness. The smaller the contact area, the less force you need to make it it fail. Its tempered so once it does start it all goes.
Hammers work for shit mostly because people hit the middle... so it distributes the load to the weather stripping. Go for the bottom corner, speed is the key. Hold the hammer somewhat loose so if it doesn't break, you don't shock your hand numb. But not so lose it hits you in the face.

Fake- the drivers glass was not the same as the one on the passenger side - and that is why he never tried the porcelain on it - cause it would also fail.

@Wamy85 If you think it is fake, you should try it on your own vehicle. Good luck with that.

Im not trolling but im curious , why?

Explain plz :)

@cidoXL It is the density of the porcelain.
