  • Yes, she was the last singer to perform in the then National Theatre of Singapore before it was demolished. The most expensive ticket then was about S$80.00, a huge sum in those days. She was then a superstar with no equal.

  • I dont think many artists these days are even in the same league as teresa, musically, and i dont know how to put it, or as heavenly in her mannerisms.

  • I wish i could have seen her live in concert. I only discovered her a couple of years ago. TT was almost unknown in the western world back when she was a big star in Asia. But with YouTube i can somewhat make up for all those lost years.

  • I was there about 26 years ago when I was in secondary school. That was the first and last time I saw Teresa on stage. I still remember she decided not to go for commercialise performances any more after the 15th anniversary concert tour except Japan market.

Yes, she signed up with Polydor KK Japan in 1974. Her contract extended overseas and her Chinese albums at that time were released by Polydor Hong Kong, later it was renamed Polygram.

  • Was she still under contract with Polydor at the time? I was wondering who arranged concerts to be held for her regardless of domestic or international.

I love her voice and missed her. It's so unfortunate that I only have heard her voice but never had a chance to attend her concert.

  • Yah,

I was very fortunate to see her last concert in Singapore. I have to save for a few months just to afford the cheapest ticket at $50. A lot of money in those days.

But, a truely first class show, Miss you TT, always.

  • Yes, the venue was then the National Theatre in Singapore. She was the last singer to perform before it was demolished. Then her concert ticket cost about S$80.00. It was a big amount in those days. I was young and couldn't afforded the ticket. She even bought an apartment and stayed in Singapore for that period of time.

  • This is a copy of Maekawa Kiyoshi - Nagasaki wa Kyou mo Ame Datta

  • I completely agree with you.
