  • i love this part of the film, and this music literraly sends shivers down my spine, especially when all the jets are takin off from Ramstein, thanks! :)

  • This is a TOP NOTCH action cue. VERY DRAMATIC, with a sound of jeapordy. He could write like no other.

Alost hard to believe this was a REPLACEMENT SCORE, replacing Newman's score. He sure had to write this one fast! Some have said he has done his best work under pressure with little time. Hard to argue.

He's been on both ends, replacing scores, and being replaced. It's just business to him.

    God rest your soul Jerry.

  • Gary Oldman: "GET DOWNNNNNNN!!!"

  • Always fun playing this when playing a FPS...but with the plane level in MW3.....JUST EPIC!!!

  • Byat

  • This is without a doubt one of the best action cues this man has ever written!

  • i just love the pat of 4:12 its awesome

  • Randy Newman was a very odd choice as original composer for AFO. His songwriting was cinematic, but he was a satirist, who had no history with action music. I'm not denying Newman's talent (Ragtime, The Natural, etc.), just his suitability for AFO. His score sounded like he was lampooning the film's patriotism. Goldmsith was THE action score specialist and he knew how to deal with the OTT, cheesey elements in AFO. Goldsmith swore he'd never score on such a short schedule as AFO again.

  • The valiant, desperate courage of the crew & the brutal, barbaric invaders both frantic on getting control of Air Force One or trying to land it. All leaving us nailbiting on what the outcome might be.

Seeing that Jerry Goldsmith had only 12 days to make the replacement score,

you really sense an edge of "time being of the essence" genuine in this track, not just by the written notes but by the execution of the orchestra led by the hand of Goldsmtih.

Now thats negative energy turned positive!

  • "Smoke, smoke! Notify the cockpit!!" Favourite part:)

  • Music scores today are just so mediocre with songs thrown in, scores that sound like other films, or just scores that simply lack emotion. I can remember the last time there was a score that stood up on its own merits. Goldsmith's musci did this all of the time. He is so much missed. I remember Jerry all the time and the feelings he's evoked in his music.

  • GET OFF MY PLANE!!!!
